Orion Awareness Exercise

It’s not YOU who finds the answer; the answer finds YOU.
Since the beginning of January – since I was in Portugal – a word keeps appearing to me:
Montserrat. It comes up in conversations, in research. In contexts that have nothing to do with each other.
Montserrat, Montserrat.
Before, I had no particular connection to it. And now, it’s here. Over and over again.
The second word is: Orion.
Once in a documentary about a floor mosaic from Pompeii, which depicted Orion. Then in Men in Black – where Orion was the name of the cat wearing a galaxy on its collar.
Different contexts. Different spaces. And yet the same word.
Why this might be important
Maybe it’s nothing.
Or maybe something begins to show itself through symbols before we can consciously grasp it.
Words are carriers. They carry history. They carry meaning.
They carry vibration, if you will.
Sometimes an inner movement announces itself through recurring terms.
Not dramatically. Rather quietly.
Follow the words.
They are often the first hints of what is currently taking shape within you.
No interpretation (that would be unreliable and over-intellectualized).
Just perceive. The answer finds you. You don’t have to search or interpret.
What is your system currently filtering out of the infinite possibilities of reality?
There are infinitely many words. Infinitely many images.
Infinitely many ways to perceive reality.
And yet sometimes something stands out.
A word. A name. A symbol.
Not because it is particularly loud. But because your system marks it.
Your brain is constantly filtering. It decides what from the infinite abundance can enter your consciousness. Most things disappear again. Some stick.
And some begin to repeat.
Not spectacularly. But persistently.
And eventually you realize: why do I suddenly see this word everywhere?
Perhaps you can “carry” it with your own words for a while.
Not to understand immediately. Not to interpret immediately.
Simply hold it. Observe what shows up. What condenses.
Your inner filter
Our brain constantly filters reality. From the infinite abundance of what is possible, it only lets a fraction pass consciously.
The question is not: What exists? The question is: What stands out for you?
Which words seem highlighted? Which images suddenly feel charged? Which terms appear, even though you had never consciously noticed them before?
This is no coincidence. Your system selects from this rich reality what is useful for you – not through your mental filter, but through your intuition.
It is attention. And attention is energy.
I also like to ask AI what deeper meanings words might have.
In my case:
🌋 Montserrat
A small Caribbean island. The name comes from Catalan:
mont = mountain
serrat = sawed / jagged
So: “the jagged mountain” or “saw mountain.”
The name originally referred to the Montserrat Monastery in Spain – a striking, jagged mountain with spiritual significance.
Interesting:
Symbolically, Montserrat stands for:
Elevation
Spiritual seeking
Seclusion
But also for volcanoes (the island is volcanically active)
A jagged mountain – not smooth, not harmonious, but angular. Something that rises. Becomes visible.
✨ Orion
Orion is a constellation. In Greek mythology, Orion is a giant hunter.
Etymologically, the name is not entirely clear. Likely of pre-Greek origin. Some trace it to a root connected with “border” or “light.”
Symbolically, Orion stands for:
Orientation (a winter constellation, very prominent)
Hunter energy
Focus and direction
Cosmic order
Recurrence (appears cyclically in the sky)
It is one of the most noticeable constellations – you can hardly miss it.
🧭 Putting the two words together
Montserrat → jagged mountain, elevation, spiritual height, volcanic energy
Orion → constellation, cosmic alignment, hunter, orientation
Both share something:
Height (mountain / sky)
Visibility
Distinctiveness
Something that does not remain hidden
Mini-Workshop: Notice your recurring words, images or sounds
1️⃣ Observe
For a few days, write down the words (or images or sounds) that suddenly repeat in your life.
For me: Montserrat and Orion.
Just note them. No judgment.
Ask gently:Why does this word keep catching my attention?
Use a small notebook or a digital list. Only perception. No analysis.
2️⃣ Collect
Write down every recurrence – even if it seems trivial or random.
Note the context: film, conversation, article, documentary. Maybe even the date.
You may begin to see a pattern.
Example:Orion – mosaic in Pompeii.Orion – cat in Men in Black.
3️⃣ Look without interpreting
Research the origins, meanings, myths, or symbolism of the words, images, or songs.
Let yourself explore the word without applying it to yourself.
This is silent observation.
Your conscious mind filters deliberately.Your subconscious might be pointing.
4️⃣ Carry and reflect
Let the word work within you.
Notice associations, images, emotions, sensations.
Write short notes:
What does it evoke in me?How does it feel?
Then let it go again. Return to your everyday life. Try to forget the list.
For me, Montserrat feels like a bridge between the energetic and the physical world. I do not yet know what the “serrated mountain carved by angels” might mean – but the image lives in my heart.
Orion feels connected to unknown worlds and a very friendly presence of not-knowing.
And so I let it stand.
5️⃣ No pressure, no urgency
This is not about understanding immediately.
It is about perceiving, carrying, and watching how something evolves over days, weeks, months, years.
Some words disappear.Others remain.
And sometimes, much later, their meaning becomes clear – like a quiet inner firework of insight.
For me, when that happens, it brings joy, fascination, awe, heart-opening, and wonder.
🔑 Conclusion
This small awareness experiment helps you:
become conscious of your inner filtering system
recognize patterns in your perception
use attention as a tool
discover subtle hints from your subconscious
experience wonder
Follow the words, images, and sounds that appear repeatedly.
They are often the first hints of what is taking shape within you.
No interpretation.Just noticing.
You do not find the answer. The answer finds you.
